Children who have overdue books from City of Town’s libraries won’t be fined during Children’s Amnesty Week

Children who have long overdue items from any of the City of Town’s libraries can return their books and magazines without any fines during a special Children’s Amnesty Week from the 1st to the 8-th of June.

The free pass coincides with International Children’s Day. Mayoral Committee Member for Community Services and Health, Councillor Patricia van der Ross says more than 25 000 items are currently outstanding from patrons aged 12 and under.
